It is no secret that the crunch of gas prices are starting to affect all Americans. At the time of writing this, there are communities in America paying well over $4 for one gallon of gas. Some people cannot even afford to fill their tanks up all the way.

People are starting to take action and are finding ways to become more efficient with gasoline. Some are buying hybrid cars, but what about those that cannot afford to run out and buy a hybrid? Some are converting their car over to water power. Does using water for gas work?

The technology of using water for gas is actually really old. Patents for this have been on file for over fifty years. Many people already know about hydrogen fuel cells but do not know how easy it is to convert water to hydrogen and use it to power their home vehicles. The water for gas system simply uses a little bit of electricity from the car to change the water from H20 (water) into HHO (gas). A great side effect of this is that by using hydrogen in your car the environment is helped. Less emissions from cars helps save the ozone layer. But why are more people not using water for fuel?

For one, there isn’t much profit opportunity in it for big businesses. Water is far too abundant and recyclable in comparison to gasoline. If water powered systems were heavily promoted, a lot of businesses would lose money. If you were to switch to a hydrogen system you could use water from your kitchen sink to fuel your car.

Isn’t that a dream? Well it is a dream and a reality now thanks to water for gas systems. There are websites online that sell information on how to convert your car yourself. For the amount of money that could be potentially saved, you can’t help but check it out.
